Invitation to the online guest talk by Prof. Heather Eggins (Staffordshire University, UK)

It is our pleasure to invite you to the guest talk by Prof. Heather Eggins (Staffordshire University, UK) at the zhb Higher Education Research Colloquium Series. On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Prof. Eggins will give a talk titled "Strategic decision making in uncertain times: A UK study of higher education institutions".
Time and place: May 27, 2020 / 16:00-17:30 h / Online (with Webex)

Prof. Heather Eggins

In her talk, Prof. Heather Eggins will talk about strategic decision-making at universities in UK. In times of uncertainty, such as unstable economic prospects, the coronavirus and climate change, British universities are additionally affected by the consequences of Brexit. These consequences and the resulting challenges for the universities are the focus of Prof. Heather Eggins’ presentation.

Organisation of the colloquium:

  • Please watch the video (duration: 48 minutes) of prof. Eggins' talk at SGH Warsaw School of Economics prior to the colloquium.
  • At the beginning of the online-meeting, prof. Eggins will summarize the key points of the talk mentioned above and add information on recent developments that are relevant for her topic, especially focusing on the challenges universities experience due to the corona virus.
  • Afterwards, a discussion will take place. Requests to ask questions can be put in the chat and the moderator will grant rights to speak accordingly.
